Why Laptop Prices in Bangladesh Are What They Are
Most buyers compare two prices and pick the lower one. That’s a mistake. Laptop price in Bangladesh is shaped by four things that have nothing to do with which seller you’re buying from.
Exchange rate. Every laptop sold in Bangladesh is priced in USD internationally. When the BDT weakens against the dollar — which it has done steadily — import costs rise automatically, even if the manufacturer’s price stays flat. A laptop that cost ৳60,000 eighteen months ago may cost ৳68,000 today with identical specs.
Import duty. The Bangladesh government imposes duties on electronics imported through official channels. Legitimate importers who declare products honestly pay these duties. That cost sits in the price.
Distribution layers. Official distributor → authorised retailer → buyer. Each layer adds margin. Buying from a direct importer like ASES Tech cuts one or two of those layers, which is why prices are lower without the product being different.
Warranty structure. Official channel products carry the brand’s local service warranty, which adds cost. Direct import products carry importer warranty — which, in ASES Tech’s case, means direct fast-turnaround service with replacement available when needed. The product itself is identical.

Around ৳50,000–৳60,000 — What to Honestly Expect
This is the entry point for a genuine new laptop in Bangladesh in 2026. The HP 15-fd0133wm with Core i3-N305 at ৳50,500 gives you an FHD IPS display, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, and Windows 11 Home. It handles university assignments, Office, and browsing without issues. Upgrade to 512GB SSD at ৳56,500 if storage matters.
Avoid second-hand or refurbished units at this price range. The performance gap between a new entry-level laptop with DDR5 RAM and an old used machine is bigger than the price gap.
৳65,000–৳75,000 — The Practical Sweet Spot
The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 with Core i5-13420H at ৳66,000 is the standout at this range. The 15.3″ WUXGA (1920×1200) IPS display is noticeably better than the standard 1080p panels on most HP 15-series units. If you spend most of your time on screen, that upgrade matters. The HP 255R G10 with Ryzen 5 and 16GB DDR5 at ৳68,500 is the best option if RAM is your priority.
৳88,000–৳1,15,000 — Gaming Starts Here
The HP Victus RTX 3050 at ৳88,500 handles Valorant, BGMI, FIFA, and most esports titles well. It’s a real gaming machine but not a high-end one. For more, the Lenovo LOQ with RTX 4050 from ৳1,15,500 gives a meaningfully better experience — better thermals, better display (144Hz IPS), and a GPU that handles AAA titles at high settings.
৳1,40,000+ — Where RTX 5050 Begins
The Lenovo LOQ 15IRX10 with RTX 5050 8GB GDDR7 at ৳1,56,000 is the newest generation gaming option currently in stock. The RTX 5050 with GDDR7 offers a meaningful improvement over the previous generation for content creation and gaming. If your budget allows, this is the future-proof option in the LOQ lineup.
How to Verify You Are Buying a Genuine Laptop in Bangladesh
- Check the serial number on the brand’s official website — HP, Lenovo, and ASUS all have public warranty check tools. Verify the manufacture date and warranty details match what the seller says.
- Ask what warranty you actually get — specifically, who services the unit when something goes wrong. A named service provider is good. A vague answer is not.
- Verify the seller has a physical address — online-only sellers with no registered location have no accountability after the sale.
- Compare prices across 2–3 importers — if a price is more than 10–12% below everyone else for the same model and spec, ask why.
- Check membership — legitimate computer businesses in Bangladesh are typically members of BCS (Bangladesh Computer Samity) or ECS. ASES Tech is a member of both.

Three main reasons: import duties imposed by the Bangladesh government on electronics, the BDT being weaker against the USD than the INR, and a smaller market size meaning lower import volume and higher per-unit distribution costs. A laptop priced at $600 in the US does not land at ৳60,000 in Bangladesh after duties, exchange rates, and logistics.
